Since this year started, there have been quite a few people that have been closely following the production of Dante’s Inferno. This is an upcoming action game that is being launched by Electronic Arts and is supposed to be based upon the Divine Comedy that was written by Dante Aligheri. In this game, players get to play as Dante. With him, players have to make their way through 9 circles of hell in order to save Dante’s love interest, a certain Beatrice, from Lucifer. There are various segments of the battle through hell which you can find online. Some of the more popular ones include Circle of Lust in which you face Cleopatra & her minions as well as the fight which he has to go through in Circle of Anger.

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009Sony “motion” Controller Rumor
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009Here is a little interesting news about the upcoming Sony Motion Controller for the PS3. It is rumored that the name which has been chosen for the controller is the ‘Gem’. Sony, however, has denied these rumors.
Eurogamer says that a representative of Sony American revealed the codename but also said that the name was not yet finalized for the product.
Also, the bossman of EA earlier mentioned about a controller known as ‘Gem’ on a conference call.
Apart from this, there is also an application which has been submitted to the United States Patent & Trademark office for a patent for a many potential applications for a Motion Controller that Sony is going to release in 2010.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Still Topping Charts in UK
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009If you are involved at all in the gaming world and keep up to date with the news even only occasionally, you will know the hype that proceeded the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was overwhelming to say the least. For a game to live up to the hype, the rumors, and the trailers would be a tough task to complete.
Luckily for Infinity Ward, it did. All the hype, all the controversy, and all the sales. In 24 hours over 5 million copies were sold. Where I live in the United States, an employee at the local Walmart (in not a very large town) said they had over 100 people lined up for a midnight release of the game.
And it’s no wonder that the game continues to sell. I have played through the regular campaign and can understand why. Anyone that has seen the game played would be crazy to not want to get their hands on their own copy.
Despite sales falling 7% from last week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maintains the number one spot even over the very large uptick of FIFA 10 sales in the UK. Can Infinity Ward’s newest hit outlast Call of Duty: World at War in the number one spot (FIFA 09 overtook it after 4 weeks last year)?
Assassin’s Creed II: Solid Improvement of Already Stellar Game
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009Assassin’s Creed II was able to slightly steal the thunder that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was able to garner, with very impressive sales that topped 1.6 million within the first week, not Modern Warfare 2 numbers, but it was 35% better than the first game’s first week sales.
Assassin’s Creed II has grown up since the original development. With a new open world environment (largely made popular by Grand Theft Auto), the game has opened many more opportunities for exploration and alternative routes. The open world gives the game a more realistic feel (as realistic as free jumping off ancient buildings can be, of course) making players want to explore more and inevitably elongate gameplay, which is good for both the consumer and developer.
The game is set in 15th century Italy, featuring a couple of different cities, allowing the user to take a step back in time in an ultra realistic atmosphere.
Simple PS3 Drive Test – YouTube Video
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009The biggest fear that all owners of expensive technology worry about is when their expensive toys break. But sometimes there are ways to test and see if your electronics are working or not.
For Sony PS3 owners, the fear is quite real, just like Xbox 360’s, PS3’s have had limited problems, but problems none-the-less that make the system stop working, one problem is disks not being ejected by the Blu-Ray drive.
Youtube user playabstation demonstrates a potential fix if your PS3 decides to try and eat one of your disks.
Drake’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Review
Monday, December 7th, 2009I have played many action adventure games. The classics, Mario, Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, but for me, gaming means shooters.
That’s why when I picked up a PS3 a few months ago, Uncharted and Uncharted 2 kept catching my eyes every time I was looking for some games to start playing. I Started with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and quickly played through the long, exhilarating single player game (for the record if I was reviewing Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, I would give it a 4.8/5.0).

Sony and Netflix – Good First Attempt, But Lacking
Monday, December 7th, 2009Netflix and Sony announced last month that Netflix-On-Demand would be available on the Sony PS3 much like it has been on the XBox 360 for as long as PS3 owners can remember. Finally at last, it came to the PS3 in November with one caveat — It requires a disk from Netflix to work.
In order to use Netflix on your PS3, you must log on to your Netflix.com account and request a disk to be sent to you. Once you receive the disk (just as fast as a normal Netflix Blu-Ray or DVD) you must insert the disk, load it and then input a random set of numbers from your PS3 to your computer (better still bring the laptop into the living room one last time) and input the number and viola! your PS3 starts to load your Instant Queue and allow you to browse your Instant Queue and browse all the available shows and movies on the Netflix system.
May Payne 3 Out Mid-2010
Sunday, December 6th, 2009Every One waiting for their favourite Bullit-Time hero, Max Payne, will have to wait a a bit longer. Take Two who took over the Max Payne franchise from Remedy, announced that it will be mid-2010 when it will be released.
Max Payne 1 was a major hit, across all formats, but the second installment had disappointing sales. Hopefully, one of the reasons for delaying the release would to improve the game play, as the competition is alto tougher nowadays.
