Map Mod News has posted a juicy report: Activision has apparently shared some bits of info about Call of Duty 7: Black Ops, the next installment in the huge CoD franchise. We know, you can’t wait. Here’s the scoop from the company itself:

Black Ops will be set historically somewhere between World War II and present day, with a heavy emphasis on the Cold War and Vietnam. The ever-popular (and much-requested) Nazi Zombies mode introduced in Call of Duty: World at War will make a welcome return, and there is even talk of providing dedicated servers to host the title’s online multiplayer component.

Treyarch, the developer behind 2009’s famed WWII first-person shooter, is already hard at work on Activision’s next project. If all goes well, we might see Black Ops hit high street shelves no later than November this year.

Well, this is welcome news indeed, and Turkey time can’t come soon enough for us this year.
