Delayed: Sonic 4 pushed back for ‘polish’ reasons

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

sonic4We reported a bit ago about Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Chapter 1 and its upcoming release soon for the PS3. Well, apparently they intend to push it back a bit for ‘extra work on the design of levels and more time to polish the game for a classic Sonic feel’.

While we appreciate the extra work being put into the game, we now know that this will be summer without Sonic now more than likely, which is the part of this story we don’t like.

It’s good to see the care taken to ensure a quality Sonic product, though. The good news is the first gameplay trailer has been released and is looking very promising for its future. Check it out here: Link

We’ll keep an eye on this as it approaches release, of course. It should be pretty awesome (or you would hope so with the extra time being taken).

Leaked: Sonic 4 screenies and videos

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

UntitledVideo footage of Splash Hill Zone: Act 1, one of the 12 cool levels that will make up Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (yes it will be divided up into chapters, sadly), have been released onto a few sites, proving the fact that nothing is secret when the internet is involved.

If you’re fans of the rapid blue-colored mammal and have been looking for gameplay videos of the Sonic  HD sequel, go to All Games Beta site and check out the videos and gameplay screenshots they’ve collected for your perusal.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is is going to arrive on PS3’s sometime around mid-summer or so, and to date it looks pretty good. Feel free to check it out here.
